After originally being awarded the bid in 1970, Denver remains the only Olympic location to ever reject the bid and withdraw as host city. We explore how Denver managed to win the bid in the first place and the different groups that game together afterwards to say, ‘Hey, we actually don’t want this!’

But I do remember that I was kind of excited about it to start with people started looking at it, and how it had been presented and how they had gotten it.
Denver becomes the first host city ever awarded the Olympic Games to reject them.
